ah2 got me started on my new dual stick shooter obsession. i'm so ashamed. that said ah2 is a fine successor.

User Rating: 7.5 | Assault Heroes 2 X360
assault heroes 2 is no commando 3 for dual stick shooters but the scope of the game is much larger and varied in a way that many other ds shooters don't even attempt much less pull off properly.

the coop could be better, as it doesn't work nearly as well as some of it's competitors, but it's adequate.

the enemy designs and bosses in specific are aweinspiring for xbla, but be advised the achievements are a pain in the arse for the most part. so buy this game for fun, not for points.

the in and out of the vehicle mechanic works well, tho the powerup implementations could have been easier and a tiny bit more plentiful.

i do with the right stick was a little better on the 360 controller seeing as how dexterous you need to be with it in this title, but it's satisfactory for control.

one other definitive highlight is the sound in the game is kitchy and surprisingly enjoyable. the music is nothing to write home about but at least there are more than five death screams that repeat over and over and over again like some other titles.

considering the deluge that is now shooters on xbla, assault heroes two manages to come in pretty high on the list all told.
