- "Pretentious"
why doesn't desmond just beat the crap out of the old guy holding him hostage? i don't see any guards or weapons around.
didn't desmond say he used to be an assassin? i think i heard that while he was talking with the girl who is supposed to come off as nice, but willfully works for an evil corporation that kidnaps people. so this guy is a killer, yet he just rolls over and plays **** for this old dude who berates him and subjects him to procedures that are very likely causing brain damage?
reading the other reviews, this doesn't seem like a sticking point for anyone else, but it has pretty much ruined the game for me. the parts where you play the assassin in the 1100s are visually impressive, and at first it's fun to walk around and explore. but after a while this gets boring, especially if you get bored by the missions and forget what it is you're supposed to do once you reach the city. i'm sure there's a way to look up what your current mission is, but meh. anyway, the only way to break up the boredom is to start assassinating random people, which quickly becomes morbid.
in conclusion, i'm glad many people have gotten so much happiness out of this game. i'm not one of them, and i'm pretty much done with it

Assassins Creed: Great fun but gets repetitive after a while, though the story does makes up for this.

Assassin's Creed was awesome in it's time, but compared to the sequels, this game falls very short.

This game has been criticized as being overly repetitive but who cares when the thing you're repeating is awesome
