You guys did a pretty lousy job on this "breakdown". You didn't even mention the dual sword wielding, the 4 guns, the new takedown/s seen when he fights on top of those crates. Also, will there be any digging mechanics for treasure? Treasure maps with puzzles like walk 50 steps to the East then 20 steps North etc. ?
convoluted much? and if you play a pirate.. wheres the beard? i thought connor looked out of place in the american civil war but this takes the biscuit. its shame they dont take more time over AC games, they could be really special.
i dont know... couldnt they have thought of something more original than pirates? i mean ill probably end buying it anyways but i was hoping for something more over the top.

I think the final Result is little lower! they don't want to bring the Desmond cause it means AC series will be finished! never liked AC story After first release hope this one gets better In terms of Story!
Getting to create or customize our own character for the modern-day world in AC IV would be pretty cool.
1 Like ugh, I've looked forward to all the assassins creed. This is the first one that hasn't impressed me, I didn't really like the navy missions on 3. I was hoping for a ninja AC set in Japan or China
our new hero will need to learn how to be a modern pirate and a gueriilla fighter since juno is going to take control over the world, so making his ancestor a pirate is the right choice : D fck yeah
1 Like I will be very interested in seeing how they explain the story. I would also suggest that this wouldn't be a main title with them going back and explaining Haythem's (sorry for the spelling if its wrong) story. I did like him but to go back and explain his story wouldn't really be progressing forward in my opinion. Unless his death effects history in another way, or his actions were influenced by his father and he was trying to accomplish some other external goal. I will be very interested to see how this plays out. I will miss Desmond. I was hoping they would say he went into a comma and he needed to find a way out of some kind of animus state but oh well. I'm interested in this now.
4 Like So there is ONE redeemable feature in the game so far: AC1 style assassinations.
It looks very good. Cant wait for next gen. I also really like the pirate theme. I gotta say though that I stopped palying AC III (eventhough it got good reviews, but it kinda felt like a letdown)right ine the middle. Felt too much like been there, done that and those side missions were just tidisome. Gonna get back to it though, this trailer kind of motivates me. But dang that trailer looks good!
I saw this when it leaked, just another CGI eye candy trailer, I'm not getting my hopes up after AC3.
2 Like I don't see why we have to keep the animus in these games, just let us play as Edward Kenway and see the story from only that point of view. The present day story was the weak part of the AssCreed series, and dragging Desmond out of the animus for some part of his story ruined the flow of the previous games.
Also, though the naval combat in AC3 was fun, it did seem serious undercranked. I hope they slow the naval stuff down a bit and add a bit more complexity to the sailing.

1 Like @4G4 i think it was they'd be using connor again, and not have 4 in the name.. it is really close to the setting of 3, just 40 years earlier and a couple thousand miles more south
Those trailers don't represent in game graphics. those are pre-rendered. it wont look like that even on next gen consoles. also, don't get too hyped up for this game, it doesn't seem that awesome to me. i was terribly let down by ac3, so i advise you not to preorder ac4. ubisoft does lie a lot about the features as well.
Awesome! About how we can relive Edwards life: Desmond's memory has been uploaded to the cloud by Abstergo so everyone can access it. Kind of silly, but I take it as it means no more compulsory modern day part :).
Cool, the last time Giancarlo and Kevin were together was when they played the demo for The Darkness 2. I agree with Kevin, Blackbeard does have a delicious beard. Mmmm Edward Kenway is sexy, he can raid my ship anytime ;) and I can't wait for this game to come out 8D
There is something weird going on both with the eyes and the lip-syncing. Blackbeard's (if it's him) voice actor does do a good job, but it doesn't sound like the voice is coming from Blackbeard himself.
I hope PS4 will not be over priced... If it will be over priced then I think I would have to wait till it gets cheaper :P
