Great Single Player, Bad Multiplayer

User Rating: 7 | Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag PC

A Very ambitions, yet recycled product of the franchise. All models have been reused, buildings, vegetation and mocap movements from previous AC series and alot taken from Farcry 3. It seemed like they took their editor, spent a month on things, and pushed this title out and called it AC IV. Don't get me wrong, regardless of my comments, the game was very well executed as I spent countless days (well since beginning of day 1) playing the game. Don't get me wrong, this game WILL suck you in on singleplayer. Honestly, I would give single player a 9. Story line was very engaging, same structure of game was nicely implemented into the world of piracy.

You can craft your gear (engine from Farcry III), craft your ship, make traderoutes to expand your wealth, take over locations (farcry III), hunt, conquer ships, go underwater. It is just awesome of a singleplayer.

Bad part is the multiplayer. Its like they took the game, and gutted it into a hollow multiplayer. and what was worse, you have the option to pay for weapons, clothes....pay to win. There is no sword fighting, no ship battling, just point and kill pressing X. Very poorly executed game on that part. If they are planning on having a expansion, they should really push to do open world for it, and have a equally as good story line. Also some missions get redundant sometimes. And for weird reasons even if you are the captain, you go take care of business as your people wait on the ship....:/ They should of worked the AI better on that.
