just picked this up! so far ACII has been my favorite but i'm hopeful... i am rather sick of the desmond sections to be honest though...

3 Like is it just me or it's hurt a little whenever you have to open the weapon wheel or the assassin guild menu? Why didn't they make it fast and simple like in previous games? And what kind of imbecile that decided to only allow 4 short-cut keys?
3 Like Climbing trees and commanding a ship are GREAT addons, animals too. The story is ok but it could have been better. It would be nice to have boss fights or long ones with a powerful enemy because regular soldiers are easy once you learn their weaknesses. Some people say to end the story now, but there are so many things still in human history to see that I want many more AC games. I liked the game, in overall for me it's 8.7/10.
1 Like combat is great ,I like the trading system ,sailing sections and haythams sections, but Connor is boring , maps are to long with not enough quick travel points and as soon as I get into liking the game I get taken out of it to spend some time with Desmond , frustrating!
@jordan119 I actually think the game would have been much better if Haytham was the assassin and the protagonist.
Man this game is tedious. I've been playing for about 6 hours and I'm so bored. I've only just got to playing as teenage Conner, and here is yet another tutorial.The narrative is extremely bloated... Worst AC so far (even Revelations was better...yep, you heard me.)
Although, seeing Desmond getting punched in the face almost made it worthwhile...

I need some none biased answer on this.
I've been playing ACIII on my laptop (HDMI LCD of course) on maxed settings, almost done.
But I'm thinking of getting the game on the PS3 for the trophies and the extra content...
Still, I want to know, who bad are the PS3 graphics, when compared with the Maxed graphics of PC?
@DiamondDM13 PC is always better, 2nd XBOX, 3rd PS3, search the web and you can dowload all DLCs they are great, another one is about to come out (Tyranny of King Washington). I've to say that at first I tought this was going to be another game like "Revelations" but I was wrong, they really added a LOT of stuff, for me its almost as goos as AC I & II.
1 Like @suko1983 Well, I agree on the PC. the PS3 vs 360 is useless because I'm a PS3 owner, and I would never put up with some of the stuff 360 owners put up with.
How does Beta testing even works in the 360? Do you have to pay the Gold subscription to be able to test multiplayer Betas?
Just got my God Of War Ascension Multiplayer Beta voucher, and I would be pissed if I had to pay 60$ just o play online...
@DiamondDM13 @suko1983 The PS3 and 360 both suffer from some frame rate issue that more noticeable then on the PC but that about it. It still looks great on both systems.
I have it , I'am playing it and i can say i like it more then Assasin's Creed 2 , Creed 2 was good , but i like the story here more , plus the world is lush and big , the whole Indian thing works for me more as well , even you liked the first 2 games more still this one is worth playing , aftar all this is not a bad game and it feels more like Red Dead Redemption this time rather then another Creed game , my personal opinion ofcourse.
What i never undertood is why crowds of enemies will simply stand watch the assassin kick the shit out of their comrades... also, why can the assassin jump hundreds of feet into a bail of hay or pile of leaves and remain uninjured? what the hell is going on here? also, perhaps because of these bizarre abailities to remain uninjured, the games are easy, and frankly quite repetative. That said, I do enjoy the beautfiul environment. Still I think Gamespot judges games to easily, i mean, I see so many games with >8 scores... that's bullshit. I played the last assissins creed and it wasnt that great. id say a 6.5-7. Darksouls was great, becuse it was hard, and original. so 8.5-9. (just or a comparision on my bias)
2 Like Its seems games are becoming less of a puzzle or challange than they are a cinematic experiance, and if that happens, which it really is seeming to have, there'll just be hundreds of shit eay games, with crappy unoriginal stories that make no attempt at being good. blegh it's frightning.
1 Like AC has no boss fights and its easy/normal. This game looks great but for me AC I & II were the bests.
this game has one of the most mature, resonant, and entrhalling stories I have played in a video game since Red Dead Redemption. Besides the freerunnign quirks, I think this game is fantastic to look at and to play. I really, really think there needs to be difficulty settings, though thankfully, this one was harder than the others
1 Like I was annoyed by how bad the horse looks and all those clip bugs showing weapons in wrong places. Also i would have preferred to play as Haytham Kenway, because as i stated in a previous comment i consider Connor to naive and purehearted for a assassin. The best moments of this game i consider them to be the Naval Battles (that i hope Ubi will turn them i a more complex standalone game) and when i was playing as Haytham.
@RatingPending It's true that the characters around him are more interesting and in away it compensates for Connor's shortcomings, but they could have done a better lead character. As for "Skyrim had a million more glitches" that it's simple exaggeration, yes it had a few bugs and considering how big is the game world it is understandable, also most of them are either fix by the official or unofficial patch's (the modding community around TES games is amazing).
Glitches in games suck, i get it. But the amount people complain about this game seems odd to me. Skyrim had a million more glitches, but everyone just talked about how amazing that game was.
As for complaints about Connor, he wasn't an amazing character, but the characters around him were more interesting, which previous games lacked. Ezio wasn't a better character, he was a stereotype. Suave Italian womanizer, c'mon.

1 Like i must be going nuts... im the only one who doesnt like this game.. the stealth is inconsistent, the fighting is cheeseball (1 on 20 and the 20 have guns but dont use them) all the effort went into the world .. you raise suspusion for no reason.. wait until it goes down to like $30
I just finished this game and what the hell was that ending?! I wanted closure Ubisoft, and you gave me none of it.
