The premise for this DLC is terrible, it couldn't get any worse for this franchise i guess.

@romperstompr I think it can, just stay tuned. It depresses me to see what Ubisoft is doing to their game franchise.

 @nomailx  Please just answer this simple question.

- Name the country built on the genocide of one race (native americans) and the enslavement of another (african american).

The United States is by far the greatest place in the world to live, its not perfect but its still the greatest and if you doubt that go to some places where freedom doesnt exist I can set an itenirary for ya.

 @timlrs32 LOL. If you mean great as "covers lots of lands", yeah, but there's bigger. If you speak "Freedom" you can't be more wrong. Since Freedom = Credit Card power, and according to the current US economical state, the last place someone should live are the US. + the food is terrible there, all plastic and sugar.

Now, I'm not going to mention any names, but can I just point out that if you resort to foul language and toilet humour it makes it sound as if you have run out of ideas for civil discourse, and this in turn invalidates your argument.

@sotoooooo @thstratton I never said I didn't like it. On the contrary, the game is rather good, and such a hypothetical situation is a great conversation-starter, as shown by the number of comments. Also, strictly speaking, I wasn't "bitching", so much as questioning the civility of others who choose to do so. May I suggest that in future you should perhaps look at what a person is saying before you run the risk embarassing yourself by jumping to a false conclusion.

 @nanquan72 poorly interpreted thats what the evil politicians want u to believe it was made to protect ur rights and freedom. the founding fathers had alot of government history to look at and u think the last 200 years makes big reason to change it. i dont think so with ur thinking u do not deserve freedom

 "...it is the right of the people to keep and bear arms." That line says it  all...theres nothing else to interpret.

Unsanity1025
Unsanity1025

@cabark@nanquan72"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." Notice how we no longer use militias because we have a standing army? That conditional nullifies the rest of it, that's why it's up to interpretation, but then you're not a lawyer.

Nothing like a senseless tragedy to politicize and help organize an anti-gun rally. I blame these tragedies on society's increasingly me first apathy and the lunatics that produces which are falling between the cracks in our mental health system... not firearms that have been around for hundreds of years all over the world. Government is slowly replacing the far more efficient charity, religion, and family and these are the results. Now whether that's because society decayed leaving a void that had to be filled or because big brother elbowed them out of the way is another argument entirely that I'm sure will follow your political leanings.

 @Kastigador   Do you troll video game websites handing out self-righteous responses to every semi-politised comment? How pathetic is that. I'll leave you to it. I made my point here.

So now you're following me up the thread to yap at me and call me more names. I wasn't trying to troll, but it does sound like I got under your skin a bit.

i am a born and raised US citizen, and i have lived in iowa my entire life. i have seen how the government continues to treat the oppressed, the original inhabitants of this land, and those we dragged in chains here from across the ocean. if you think america is a godsend you are a blind and bigoted monster, like our founding fathers. this country was founded on greed and oppression and the murder of innocents, and it basks in that tradition today with drone warfare, corporate welfare, and imperialist policies. we kind of just up and stole this land, and created the worst form of human slavery in the history of our species, and people find this accurate, if embellished, representation of our country's founding, offensive? grow up. the UK is no better when it comes to power hungry and bloody imperialism, so anyone in this inane flame war who feels their country is better than the other is an idiot. this trailer seems to be more fact than fiction, if a bit embellished by supernatural and occult elements.

 @jenfur This land was founded on opportunity. Whether it was to establish a strict puritanical religion, pay less taxes, or to flee political persecution. Becoming a democracy was actually a unintentional consequence of the domino effect we kicked off by revolting. The majority of the founding fathers were aristocrats that simply wanted more control of their respective fiefdoms. To unify everyone, they had to agree to share power in some controlled way and representative democracy won out. If it weren't for the French being eager to knock down the Brits a peg, the revolution would have failed. The moral of this story: we couldn't have this conversation in a public forum if it weren't for some greedy aristocrats wanting more control and a foreign country meddling in our affairs.

 @TrueN0rth What always strikes me as disarmingly funny when I inevitably run into the occasional in your face anti-american foreigner during my travels abroad.... they claim they don't care about us and just want us to go away, but just like this dude, they can't shut up about it. They're obsessed half the time. I've concluded that some people just need something to hate that's so highly visible, yet so broadly misunderstood and complicated, that it's borderline indefensible. My theory is it makes themselves feel better about their own lives, but I'm not sure how that really works. It truly has to suck walking around with so much animosity towards something you know so little about and have zero control over.

TrueN0rth
TrueN0rth

 @Kastigador Obviously you can't. And my comment was directed towards all your fellow braindead countrymen going on about Washington being a saint.

 @TrueN0rth

 Self-righteous? Vague? So is that what you call people that don't go all in with an emotional response to your trolling and instead identify the root of the issue? In that case, I'll happily consider my response as both of those and we can both say we've made our point.

TrueN0rth
TrueN0rth

 @Kastigador Since all I get is vague self-righteous responses from your like I'd say my work is done here. Good for you if you want to pretend to be the wise internet master. It's pretty pathetic just to let you know, but eh, it's the internet.I made my point.

 @TrueN0rth

 I didn't see any points worth refuting honestly. Name calling and burning straw men isn't an argument, it's a rant. Rational people don't go off on an entire country because of some token handful of people whining in a comments section about being offended on the internet. I've traveled around the world a bit and one thing I learned is there's angry, ignorant people everywhere, but they're fortunately the exception and not the rule. That's why I stopped being offended by that type a long time ago. So please continue on calling people names and making broad sweeping generalities about a country you clearly know nothing about. That part doesn't bother me in the least. That said, I'll probably still take the time just to call you out on it if anything to balance out the random negative spewing that is the anonymous internet that you seem so keen on contributing to.

What's wrong with the voice acting? People now a days are so discontent with everything. But the idea of making a King Washington a DLC is so absurd in my opinion. I don't give a rats ass about George Washington, even if I had one to give. He sucked as a general. True historical fact.
