No one celebrated my country's independence day on GS, but on that's right, 'MURICA!!!

Also, I find it Ironic how a video about America's independence is linked to a video game about a triad gang war in Hong Kong. Seeing the relation here? Neither do I.

Aww, where's the Nintendo Land fireworks ?

 @Ospon

 Yeah or that old game that first came out with PS2 that really was just FireWorks... forgot what it was called but it was just a beats/timing game where you set off fireworks. I think it was to showcase the PS2's graphics when it came out.

 It's one of our real holidays for celebrating the US just being the US. It's summer and fireworks are great. It's nice to make some noise. It's also the time of year they represent: summer, warmth, bar-b-que, friends/family, just being outside.

It's one of our few real traditions.

It's fun.

What about the nuke explosion in Fallout 3?

LegendaryFightz

 @Jd1680a Do you mean the Megatron one. That was amazing. Also surprised COD 4's nuke wasn't included.

 @LegendaryFightz Unfortunately, I didn't have time to replay those games to capture them. We don't get to keep every game on file for long.

Why do Americans have an obsession with things exploding?

CruiserCaptain
CruiserCaptain

 @KingofCabal

 Why not?

Plus we haven't lived in a world where things blowing up directly relates to us blowing up, or bombings, or war in our own streets, so I would assume that we don't have the same emotional or psycological association with explosions people in some other countries may have.

It's celebratory.

And I mean it's stuff blowing up! Have you seen stuff blowing up!? It's great!

Btw Video games Started in AMERICA...Way back in the day..Oh bye the way so did cars..You no that vehicle u drive to work in every day..So did freedom..Which is a great thing btw..So Go AMERICA greatest country on earth..You also have us to thanks for the world being free remember that..If we failed in ww2..There wouldnt be a world as we know it today..So look up the facts..Also gamestop did start in America where VIDEO games started..Can talk about other things to impress you but you know what we love our country..Let us get this day and enjoy it..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TohouAsura
TohouAsura

 @Gladestone1 WOW. So this is what inbred southerns actually think. WOW.

Video games started in JAPAN, you retard. And technically the first 3d game ever, Elite, was made in Britain.

The first automobile was invented by China 200 years ago. The early car was made by an Austro-Hungarian, and the modern public used car was invented by a German called Karl Benz . America was never in the equation.

Freedom was not invented by Americans, not when they stole a land that wasn't theirs.

Democracy was invented by ancient Greece, and Americans gained alot of profit from WW2 selling arms to the allied forces, so don't act as if America were the pure saviors of us all and didn't take an interest in the war economy.

Jeeez...

Johsbusch
Johsbusch

 @Gladestone1 First car (depending on definition) was either Belgian or French.Not sure how freedom started somewhere - you mean to say, that the concept of freedom did not exist before the Declaration of Indepence was signed?But the United States is a great and powerful country, I agree with you on that! Most Americans I met when I lived in the States were open and friendly, but took pride in their country and believed it to be the best in the world. Let us all celebrate your great nation's birthday on the 4th and remember all the good things USA has given to the world. But please don't rub mindless patriotism in everyone's faces - it's not very suitable.
