Assassin's Creed 3 for the Playstation 3 is an outstanding game. Most of the game takes place during the Revolutionary War, a period in history you do not typically see in a video game. You play as Connor, a native American who is trying to hunt down Charles Lee, the man who burned down his village which leads to the death of his mother. It just so happens Charles Lee is a Templar. In the game you will meet many historical figures like Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Paul Revere etc.
The graphics in the game are very detailed, especially the water. The Water in Assassin's Creed 3 is so realistic that it makes you feel as if you are actually there. There are also a wide variety of weapons in the game such as muskets, flintlock pistols, tomahawks, poison darts, cannons, swords and much more. You also can hunt animals and use their fur, teeth, skin, tails and legs for trade at the general store. At the general store you can buy and sell items. Throughout the game you visit many different places such as Boston, New York and a few other places. There are also many different side missions to keep you entertained throughout the game.
As in previous Assassin's Creed games the AI is very intelligent and will search endlessly for you until they loose sight of you. This adds difficulty to the game. The map is very large and in order to get a better understanding of your surroundings you must find viewpoints. Viewpoints are usually located on top of very tall buildings and require you to climb them. Once at the top, you are able to synchronize with the viewpoint and it adds detail to your map which can be very helpful. The voice acting is very good and adds realism to the experience. There are also a lot of plot twists which keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end. All in all Assassin's Creed 3 is an outstanding game and I encourage you to check it out.

Ambitious, but just not quite there...at least not compared to its illustrious predecessors.
