Assassins Creed 3: The worst game in the series since the first. The new game in the Assassins Creed series was both disappointing and frustrating with very little fun. The controls took a huge leap of faith in trying all new buttons to control your character. This new set up failed miserably. Combat has now become a mess of button pressing that doesn't serve you well while fighting. A counter attack is now blocking the opponent's weapon and throwing them to the ground without doing any damage to your enemy. And if you do not get to them in time they get back up and keep fighting. So you can easily become totally surrounded and eventually die much too easily. And there are these new and improved berserker enemies that if taking on more than one you have a better chance in just running away. You can't even counter them without losing almost a fourth of your health with their counter to your counter. The shooting mechanic of the game I thought was interesting but it is too slow and is too difficult to aim out an enemy coming at you. That and you said how the graphics are so terrific where at best they're sub-par. When speaking, the character's faces look like they're saying different words then they actually are supposed to be saying. And yes, Conner is cool, but he is angry so much that it is impossible for him to be likable. Also, what was with all the major adjustments to the main characters in the present? Desmond now looks like a tan Voldemort. How many changes must he go through? He looked just fine in the last three games. And the other two people helping with the animus changed as well. I do not remember their names because I didn't really care to remember after the playing through this game. I enjoyed playing the other four games and I figured this would be just another step towards success in the series. But I was wrong and if another game is made I will not be buying it and wasting my money. I would not recommend this game to anyone that likes this series and wishes not to be frustrated through out the five hours it takes to beat it. It deserves a six or lower score and nothing above that. Well done Ubisoft.

Ambitious, but just not quite there...at least not compared to its illustrious predecessors.
