- The Bottom Line:
- "Almost, but not quite"
Although I have found the Assassins Creed series entertaining it has never been a top series for me, I have played all of the games except "Brotherhood".
Firstly I found that the game starts extremely slow to the point where I wasn't sure if I made a mistake getting the game, after you take control of the main character though the game picks up quite nicely, You take part in some great historic battles such as the Battle of Concord which started the Revolutionary War, I wished they would have made more battles like these as unfortunately the game does not have many.
My favorite part of the game was definitely the naval battles, when you take command of your ship it truly feels like you are at the wheel of a huge sailing ship, the fact that you can give the command to fire the cannons make it that much better, unfortunately I also felt that there were not enough of these battles.
In the story department I have always thought that the series had just a "decent" story but nothing too great, there are bits that hint of a very good story but nothing really takes off.
Graphics wise I thought the game was good looking, no barriers broken but still impressive to look at.
Overall I enjoyed the game even though I hoped for better, it feels like there aren't enough of the good moments and too many moments where it is simply too slow.

Gameplay: 8.5
Story: 7.0
Graphics: 8.5
Sound: 8.0
Replay Value: 7.0

This is more of a mixed bag than the other games in the series. It has some great parts, but also has some not so great
