one guy to each 18 pounder... those beats weighted 4500lbs, and needed several men to arm them.. come on ubisoft..

finished assassin's creed 1 to revelations. keeping those games for my collection. now can't wait for this one
Looks awesome, though i think i´ll miss the hidden blade. Why remove it if it was used on 2012 by Desmond?
@EduardoNL The hidden blade was in the E3 demo. Watch it more closely this time.
@EduardoNL What? It wasn't removed, Ubi's official site says there is still a hidden blade. It's the iconic weapon of the Assassin's Creed series, they can't take it out.
I was told they replaced it for the small axe (havent seen the hidden blades on the videos), what is nice and all, but as u said the hidden blade is the iconic weapon of the series.
@EduardoNL Are you blind or just ignorant? There's multiple reasons as to why that won't happen.
1. The Hidden Blade is the game's icon alongside the white hood. You can't get rid of that, and Assassin's Creed game without a hidden blade is like a michael Bay movie without explosions.
2. Just because they introduce a new weapon doesn't mean the old one is gone, that's a stupid thing to think.
3. If you were actually more observative, you would've noticed they showed the blade multiple times. It's back to one hidden blade, which I actually prefer. And it's been shown to have an improvement where you can pull the hidden blade out and use it like a normal dagger and even projectile it at people using a string in a Scorpion "Get over here!" type of manner.
Does that answer your rather pointless question?
This game looks pretty amazing.. this shot makes me wonder what a PIRATE game would be like in the hands of UBISOFT... they should consider making one!
I can't wait to play all this new and cool games especially Assassin's Creed III,Gears of War Judgment and Forza Horizon they are all SO god damn cool ooooh I forgot Splinter Cell Blacklist
@Sepehr1395 I nodded my head until I saw you say splinter cell. I'm not an xbox gamer, so I wouldn't know about the gears of war and forza lol. But splinter cell looks very bad compared to the classic trilogy.
@Game_Genie89 no way no how... splinter cell looks awesome, you are right though, it doesn't look like what they had going on but it's still showing very strong stealth gameplay... I don't have kinect (im not sure you need it though) and if the game is on ps3 I rather get it there but seeing that you can use your kinect (I think) mic to call out foes , I'm considering getting it... it's just too freaking cool
"very strong stealth gameplay.."
You wouldn't know stealth if it punched you in the face repeatedly. Going guns blazing and starting a shootout is NOT stealth. And no using a silencer does not count.
@jasonzilla11 +1 although I think dishonored will also be in there, my favorite though is watch dogs
yes jack sparrow could have been introduced here as a descendant of minerva..!!
This is the tale of Captain Jack Sparrow! A pirate so brave on the seven seas!!!!
The naval warfare shown off for Assassin's Creed III looks the way a Pirates game should have been! And that's only an added feature to the rest of this work of art! I am highly anticipating this one! Go Ubisoft!
Still amazes me how people can say they are fans of a gaming franchise yet not have a clue as to what's going on with it. (i.e AC III) Details have been out for months now and people still say how it looks more of the same. Read an article or two.
@Sgt_Pepper323 I agree, I wasn't swallowed up in the last two games but I still kept tabs on the story and such. The story seems neat, but the game looks like the bomb
Amazing the ship battle! I´m a fan of Assassins Creed since the first one. This third is going to be awesome!
I keep reading comments saying the combat hasn't changed and is exactly the same with no innovation. Isn't the whole being able to kill on the move a new feature to the series? I never played Brotherhood or Revelations, but I don't remember seeing anything from those games that yo could kill while continuing to move forward. Also the Bow and Arrow also changes up the combat a bit as additions of different types of weapons will automatically change the feel of combat.
The ship battle thing just seems like another glorified version of the tower defense feature in Revelations, which seemed like one of the most pointless parts of the game. It was like adding an RPG element to the game. Other than that, the tree climbing and building-through running seems like an intriguing feature, which makes us wonder how we will plan and run continuously through the forest.
Hopefully since this is actually the next game in the series, instead of "sequels" like ACB and ACR, it will show the type of work put into ACI and ACII which made them so great.
man, too soon. Just don't see how this wont be more of the same. Yeah different environment, different character so different story. And HEY. maybe we get a few upgrades and tweeks and enemies see us at this range and fluid running is better, but I just don't see how (unless developers were working on this at the same time as Revelations) this wont be more of the same.
Don't get me wrong, I have played every game and I love the series, I was just hoping they would do what Bioshock did and step back, take a new approach and blow our f***in minds!!!!!
@echoedpulse23 That's EXACTLY what happened. While one team was working on the ACII sequels, another team was working on this. This game has been under development for nearly three years now. Read the Game Informer issue on the game. You'll see it's not "more of the same".
Just a reminder... Ubisoft montreal has 2100 employees... 1800 to 2000 of them are production members... the average assassin team will have about 300 people working on a title... don't you think it would be possible that two teams work on assassin games at the same ? I think so. AC 3 is quite likely to be on the studio's floor for about 3 years now. enough time to get something done, as show through some different mechanics, new main character, completely new animations and the naval battle which never was even close to be in any other games ubisoft did.
You want more of the same, COD is an easier picking. @echoedpulse23
