@dragontech22, you are right dragontech22. but all the people bitc*ing about DRM are not the once who want to steal this game, some genuinely dont have an internet connection or a fast enough internet connection to support DRM. & that is a genuine negative point too.

good theory there @dragontech22, but the main factor why most of the companies are going console is because of the ease of programming and deploying their games in those piece of crap. Do you know that to program a great game for the PC platform which runs smoothly on various hardwares is painstaking? And especially when developers hate seeing their games running not as expected because of the many unnecessary codes generated by high-level compilers/languages which bog their performance all because of one reason, "portability" (among many hardwares which are outside of the market). Then you would ask why use these languages then, have you heard the most recent term called 'rapid development'?, most of the employees are being pushed so hard that they have not the luxury of making a superb game but instead of making more money for their blood thirsty company. So that leaves them no choice but to use their proprietary engines. Why should I bother paying them a game which is $10.00 premium when the graphics are so 'outdated' + the DRM crap, and what's the use when I owe a gaming PC which cost me 10 times more comapred to a console when I can't play a game (e.g. AC2) which does not even take half of the GPU and CPU power in my machine?

People who sit their and demonize DRM just cause you want to steal, your the ones killing your own hobby, and mine. In fact pirates are killing PC gaming in general. Its hard for a company to justify selling their games on the PC when they can do it on a console and be sure that it will sell reasonably if its indeed a good game, while releasing it on the PC at all could just mean more people stealing it than buying it.....

When piracy on PC is at >10:1 but in reverse on consoles like PS3, its no wonder companies are ditching PC development, and coming up with intrusive and aggravating forms of DRM. The pirates are killing PC gaming. Thanks a lot, pirates, for ruining this PC game for people without constant internet. These companies don't work for free, and their families aren't going to say "gee, its ok that we can't afford our mortgage, so that some thieves can play a VIDEOGAME...". Its a game folks, not food! You don't NEED to play the game, and if you can afford the system/PC to play the games on, then you can afford to BUY the games you play. No excuses, anything else is trying to rationalize your thievery. Stop trying to rationalize why DRM is so evil when your stealing the whole time. I hate the stupid DRM methods too, but if the game companies don't get paid enough for their work, its not viable for them to keep making those games. Independent game makers are being hit the hardest, cause they don't have giant investors backing them till the game is made, and even they are being pirated at greater than 10:1 (world of goo is a great example of this). Even though it was released without DRM (when some argue DRM is "Causing" piracy), and received HIGH praise and ratings like MW2, (again, the stale argument that if its really a GOOD game, people will buy it) it was still pirated at more than 10X the purchases made.
