Assassin's Creed 2 improves upon almost all aspects that were lacking in its predecessor.

I just want to start off by saying this review might be a little short because I'm leaving for Afghanistan later tonight and I gotta get some stuff ready.

Anyways on to the review. Assassin's Creed 2 is a very well put together stealthy single player experience. Most of the downfalls of Assassin's Creed were righted in this installment of the series. The combat is more immersive and fluid, the story is much more in depth, and addition of simple things like the economic system and new weapons make the game much more enjoyable.

We'll start off with the combat. Ezio is very good at wielding his sword or dagger, whichever you prefer, but now you can disarm your enemies and use their own weapons against them! This includes battle axes, spears, pole axes and more. Nothing is more fun than taking that spear away from the guard and running him through with his own weapon. Another addition to the combat system is the dual hidden blades, which can be empowered by adding poison to the blades. No longer do you have to assassinate that one guard where two are present and then have to fight the other. Now a simple press of the button dispatches both guards and you retain your notoriety.

The storytelling is much more immersive and keeps you very interested throughout the game. You actually get to do things with Desmond as you play with him as he obtains all the skills Ezio obtains throughout the game.

Last the economic system lets you buy better weapons, armor, and even upgrade your villa.

Overall this game is a big improvement upon the series and I'm excited to see what they can come up with for the third installment to make it even more exciting.
