Bards, assassinations, and Leonardo!

User Rating: 9.5 | Assassin's Creed II X360
Gamplay- 4/5
The only issue I had with Assassin's Creed 2 was in its gameplay. While usually good, I had a few instances where the camera would find a home in the nearest building if I got too close. Otherwise, this game really controls well. The freerunning flows exactly like it should, and nothing is more satisfying than flying across the rooftops of Venice while running from the eyes of the guards.

Graphics- 5/5
Assassin's Creed 2 is visually stunning. The areas of Italy that you visit are full of life, whether it's in the form of patrolling guards or the lowly bard (who takes the place of AC's beggar). The character animations are very fluid and realistic.

Storyline- 5/5
A story set in a very well recreated Renaissance era Italy that revolves around the assassination of powerful yet corrupt individuals sounds like a good story. But AC2 makes it a great story that's enjoyable to the end. If you're persistent enough, you may unravel an interesting conspiracy-themed subplot that was left by Subject 16.

Replayability- 2/5
The fact that this game has virtually no replayability value doesn't really come as a surprise considering that it's a story driven experience. Like it's predecessor, AC2 has items to collect during and after the story. This time around, Ezio collects 100 feathers that are scattered around the locales. This can be done before or after the main story is completed. Hardcore achievement gamers only, because these things can be a pain to find.
