Great Sequel that lives up to the expectations
The gameplay for Assassin's Creed 2 is still very similar to the first but with some improvements. Combat is a little different this time around with allies being added to the fight you can now use your Hidden Blade, Sword, or Dagger to kill enemies from behind as your friends distract them. Some enemies now have heavier armor which means not all can be taken down by simple hacking and slashing and in addition new weapons have been added such as Hammers and Broad Swords which pact quite a punch.
Assassin's Creed II also introduces new tools for taking out targets and guards alike such as Paralyzing Poisons, Smoke Bombs, Dual Hidden Blades, and even a hand mounted Gun. I can honestly say that everyone of these items are fantastic and none are wasted what so ever.(especially Smoke Bombs)
I do have a few complaints though. Money in Assassin's Creed II is a good addition but after a certain point through the game you don't need it. Your uncle owns a Villa which your able to invest your money in and in turn you will make revenue from this Villa. The problem is that there isn't enough things to buy, so half way through the game you have tons of money and nothing to spend it on.
It also seems like the Missions in the first assassins Creed game such as Eavesdropping, Interrogations, and Pick Pocketing are obsolete by this effect because other than money they server no purpose. This is sort of a let down because although I appreciate being able to do story line missions in a row I feel there is plenty in the game I wouldn't do and miss out on unless some sort of Xbox or PS3 achievement is involved.
Over all great game, fantastic additions and defiantly a Trilogy on it's way to perfection.
