AC2 is exactly what the first game should have been. With plenty of variety, excellent gameplay and stunning graphics.

I loved the first Assassin's Creed...at least for the first hour or two. After that the mission structure just got far too boring. This was a common gripe about the game. In Assassin's Creed 2, all this is fixed with plenty of variety so far in the game. I've been playing for 14 hours and am still not finished with the game and it still feels fresh and exciting.

The gameplay is great. The climbing is better than ever and the combat still feels really fun and rewarding. The stealth aspects are better than ever and you really enjoy moving around such amazing looking environments.

The sound and graphics are also some of the best so far this gen. The music is perfect for the mood and time period for the most part and the production values really help to make the atmosphere in this game shine above most other games, especially games in an open world setting.

If you liked the first game, you will love this game. If you didn't like the first game, it is still worth at least a rental as this game is vastly superior to the first one. By far one of the best single player games I have played this year. It really does do a good job of keeping your interest through the entire game, with little to no missions that feel like a chore.
