A great improvement on the first DS version

assassins creed 2 on DS is a excellent improvement on the first one and it is ideal for anyone who enjoys the console version.

It features additions that the first one misses such as throwing knives, pulling guards over ledges, hiding spots and zoomed in graphical assasinations.

The good: varied mission types, zoomed in and deatiled assasinations, better graphics, better movement, better scenary etc.

You get the message, more or less everything is improved. This version is completely 2D unlike the first one but you dont find yourself wishing it was 3D because they give about 5 levels of height in each scene so you can run at high speed along the rooftops or flip along the lower levels. The running has been improved to the point where you get a sort of mirrors edge feeling sprinting along roofs ,leaping across gaps , rolling past civillians and occasionally stopping to leap on a archer to plunge your hidden blade into his back.

Collectable posters in each level add a bit of replayability which keeps your interest on it for a bit longer. The levels are divided into 3 main categories assasination, timed and stealth. In stealth you must complete the objective but without being spotted 4 times,if you are spotted your 4th time you have to start from the last checkpoint.Assasination you simply find a particular person and assasinate him or her in a video clip. Finally in timed you must get to a certain location in the time limit while being shot at by hundreads of invisible archers. All thse game modes are just the right difficulty to keep you playing.

The other element that addes replayability is the fact that you are set a target in each level of how many you should kill, how long you should take, and how much damage you should take in total. So overall assasins creed 2 is worth a great rep and will keep you in the assasins universe.
