Picking up/drop weapons issue?

It looks like when I have as selected sword the Hammer, if I hold Square, it throws it at the enemy..!
Now I don't have a sword weapon anymore..If I'll go and pick up an enemy's sword, it automatically stores it as my main sword weapon!
Problem is, that I want my hammer back! Can I drop the sword I just picked up, and pick up the hammer instead?

If you find the sword without picking up another, you can pick it up then. If you purchased the sword from a blacksmith you can get it back from them. Otherwise, it's stored in your hideout.

You can always pick up the weapon you have just thrown, Hammer/Axe.
If you pick up a weapon in error just drop it by hitting O, or running, or choose none at all from your wheel.. then find your weapon. (it's gonna be in the head or back of the s.o.b. that you took out.
I've never lost one to go back and find it in my armory, but I would assume you can go there or to the blacksmith.

Easy fix dude...Don't worry. You can go to the nearest smith and select your hammer. Or you can retrn to the Assassin's Hideout and switch out the sword your hammer.

I think they probably made the icon look like a hammer because in AC2, the icon for the sword and dagger looked so alike, it was hard to tell which was which.

So now, your "big" weapon looks like a hammer, even if it's a sword.

No. Once put in your belt thing its you primary weapon.
All you have to do is go to the Villa and enter the first door on the left to the weapons storage thing and change it there. Im not sure if you can go to blacksmith and equip unless you buy but i could be wrong. Hope this helps.

Go to the blacksmith and re-equip your weapon..It does not cost any florins :D
