I have parachutes but can't use them?

Go to a high building then jump from the building and hold square, then Ezio will bring out a parachute.

Shadowroad94 is correct, you need to jump from a high enough location for Ezio to pull out the parachute.

Also, during some missions the parachute will either be locked or reduced to 0 in order to prevent "cheating".

OOORR it could be a glitch in your game (although I doubt it).

So go to the highest place you can think of and jump for dear life to see if it was a height problem, a game problem or a glitch problem.

Also, you get an achievement from jumping+parachuting off the very top of the Vatican.

I had the same problem you did rkjohns, where I had parachutes, used them, but the display icon randomly disappeared and parachutes would not deploy. After doing some research, someone had posted elsewhere to make sure you are either barehanded or have the hidden blade equipped. No other weapons will allow you to deploy. I just jumped from a random building using square as normal with the hidden blade equipped and the chute worked (even though the display was still missing). One time the icon reappeared with the correct number, another time it stayed missing. *shrug* Definitely a glitch in the display, but the parachutes should still work as long as you don't have a another weapon equipped.

1-You must equip the hidden blade.

2-Try to jump from a high area.

Hey guys, thanks a lot. I have Xbox 360, and just to let the rest of you who play Xbox know, this tactic works with Xbox as well.

You need to deploy it right after you jump. You cant go free falling.I tried do a bit of free fall and it didnt open.

And don't let go of "High Profile"

Simple fix and simple player error. The thing that you need to either have your current weapon set to your Hidden Blade(s) (I believe that the Blade feature doesn't matter) or no weapon, meaning Hand-to-Hand. I think the use of the parachute is great but the deploying requirements are stupid.

It doesnt matter if u have equiped the hidden blade or if you jump from somewhere high. You just jump from a ledge or from a top of a house and then u press down square. Its as simple as that.

Buy parachute in tailor or in tower jump and press square

Right ok you need to get up a building and you need to jump off it. After this hold square and ezio will pull a parachute out. If you are above a guard press square to air assassinate them
