We chat with the developers of the upcoming Ashes Cricket 2009.
please produce it in ps2
wow finally a cricket game i am a big cricket fan dying to own it hope there are a few more to be launched.
FINALLLLY..a cricket game.....oh man hav been waiting fo it....i hope its gud
hopefuly it's only a matter of time before codemasters find out theres 1:1 motion control, and in near future make you bat in first person view, and in the further away future create the same thing but with graphics that dont hurt your eyes on the ps3.
Cricket games should be mor like "The Bigs 2". You know, ball on fire, fielders putting on insane stunts. Batsman hitting the ball to the moon. That would be fun.
ahh.....front foot and back foot shot control....thats one thing that lacked in the previous two installments.........i hope they also avoid that six shot over fine leg and third man....they seemed ridiculously stupid.....
teekame... please type properly, your comment was a pain to read
yes u did a great job online play on cricket thats going to be real great can wait

I don't know anything about Cricket, but this sounds like it has a good tutorial for players who are completely new to the sport. I might have to keep my eye on this one.
Hopefully there will be more teams, I mean who wants to play a cricket game without Sachin Tendulkar? Hopefully they have made this game more realistic, in the other cricket games, you are able to hit a six with Chris Martin...
Judging by the screenshots of this game, the major downfall is that they have not made Ponting's arms anywhere near hairy enough.
Eagerly waiting to own this one...............
the game will rock beyond the expectations
Wow finally online gameplay xD This game will rock the i can't wait to play It would be fun playing online with other people it is also the first cricket game featuring online gameplay ROCK THE ASHES CRICKET 09 ROCK THE WORLD!!!! wohoooooooo
I can't wait for curling 2009!
WOOOW i think it will be awesome! They should make a International Cricket not just the ashes :(.
I guarantee this will be just as much of a waste of time as every single cricket game that has ever been made. Codies are great at everything except sports. EA are horrendous at everything except publishing games and nicking all the developers' credit, in my view. They highlighted this with their Cricket series. Both developers suffer from thinking that copious variety makes a good game. It does not. Sure, there's gotta be something different going on, but if essentially the game is crap then variety will soften the blow at best. In many ways it's worse, because it just prolongs the boredom until you reach breaking point. When a developer announces they actually know what cricket is and know how to play it, then I might start getting excited. So far, neither have shown any promise and quite clearly do not understand what cricket is about. Gameplay in all games has been horrendously unrealistic and the animations (in the EA games especially) were completely abysmal. It's about the fun too of course, and I'm sure a select handful of non-cricketers gained some sort of pleasure out of the games. What gets to me is that EA can make such fantastic sports games (with exception to the PC platform, on which the FIFA series is awful compared to Xbox 360.....) and yet totally neglect Cricket. You know who made EA Sports Cricket 07? EA Canada. Go work that one out if you can.
i hope they dont just sell it in europe, i lived in england and just moved to canada, no ones heard of cricket in canada!
Just in time really :] whats gonna be on skysports 1 and 2 all the time Cricket! who will wanna play a cricket game US :] but then we will get soo sick off it we wont wanna play it :/
atlast!!! what were they waiting for???
Oh Yeah.. can't wait!! cricket online, what more do you want?
Definately need the other teams to make the purchase worth it, so hope they're included. No one would buy SF4 if it was just Ryu vs Ken would they? Great to see a Cric game never the less.
haha all i got to say is wtf lol (cant you tell im american)
finally a next gen cricket game
I know zero about Cricket, but I'm definitely intrigued now.
cant wait for the release..!!!!
Now its not EA its codemasters...
EA sports releases cricket every 2 years and this year it was bit late...i hope the biggest hit IPL is included...
need all teams and music in 4's and 6's looks nice idea
Finally a cricket game.I really fell cricket is the most underated sport ever. I hope its good.
hmmm from the name it sounds like it'll only have England and Australia, hope I'm wrong. I'd really like to see a game on the wii that has a full season leading to world cup featuring all the teams.
atlast a cricket game after many years, hope its good
