Microsoft has announced Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs, its upcoming expansion pack to the popular zoo management strategy game Zoo Tycoon . The expansion will feature more than 20 new prehistoric creatures, more than 100 new objects, and six new scenarios. Some of the new beasts include the tyrannosaurus rex, the velociraptor, and the wooly mammoth, and players will build new habitats for their creatures with prehistoric foliage, tar pits, and electric fences. As in the original game, though, players must be alert, as creatures can occasionally break out of their habitats and wreak havoc in the zoo.

Zoo Tycoon: Dinosaur Digs is in development at Blue Fang Games, the studio that created the original game, and it is scheduled for release in May.
