Konami of America has announced that it will release Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories for the Nintendo Game Boy Color. In this monster-breeding and card-collecting game, players must attack, defend, and combine monsters and set traps in order to drain their opponents' life points. There are eight different card types--earth, wind, water, fire, dark, light, magic, and trap--that players can use to complete their 40-card decks.

"After selling more than 7 million games and more than 3.5 billion cards since 1998, Yu-Gi-Oh! has proven to be an unstoppable force," said Dick Wnuk, executive vice president of Konami of America. "Yu-Gi-Oh! is so big in Japan that Americans are already getting excited about the launch of Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories for the Game Boy Color in the US."

Konami's Yu-Gi-Oh! games are based on the popular Japanese comic series of the same name. The Game Boy Color game will be released this November.
