When the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift virtual reality headsets launched earlier this year, shipping and supply problems on top of lengthy waitlists meant that many early adopters had to wait sometimes several weeks or months to get their headsets. Thankfully, at least for the Vive, the problems seem to have been solved: Valve and HTC's headset is now available for purchase from htc.com, and it'll only take three days to get to you.

In a press release, HTC announced that the headset can be purchased directly from its website without having to preorder and wait for it to be shipped. According to the company, the Vive will be shipped within 2-3 business days of purchase.

In addition, HTC also announced that it's expanding the retail locations that will sell the headset. In April HTC announced a partnership with GameStop and Microsoft Stores to demo the Vive and let people preorder it from the stores. HTC announced today that it is expanding the number of Microsoft Store and GameStop locations that'll be demoing the headset. You can see the full list of stores on HTC's site.

If you want a Vive, it'll cost you $799, and you'll also need a pretty beefy PC and some floor space to run it properly. You can check out our review of the headset here.
