Update: While the Yoshi's New Island 3DS XL bundle may be real, it appears that the image on base.com is a mock-up originally posted to vgboxart.com.

Original story: An online retailer in the UK has listed a previously unannounced Nintendo 3DS XL bundle, which includes a copy of the upcoming platformer Yoshi's New Island. According to base.com, it's due for release on March 14, the same day that Yoshi's New Island comes out.

As with previous 3DS XL bundles, this version of the device also features a special color scheme, this time in Yoshi shades of green. It's currently listed with a £200 price tag, also in line with previous 3DS XL bundles, meaning it should go for around $200 in North America.

Though Nintendo has yet to confirm the existence of the bundle, it's very likely real given the company's success with the Mario & Luigi: Dream Team bundle, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between World bundle, and other 3DS XL bundles.

Despite Nintendo's dismal year-end earnings report, worldwide, the company has sold more than 40 million units in the "3DS family" to date. Importantly, Nintendo counts 3DS XL and the 2DS as part of the "3DS family."
