Local multiplayer has been revealed for upcoming 3D platformer Yooka-Laylee.

The Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor has eight arcade-style multiplayer modes for up to four players ranging from an obstacle course to kart racing. In addition to the competitive local multiplayer, there is also two-player co-op in the main story.

The head-to-head multiplayer games are hosted by a T-rex named Rextro, naturally.

As for co-op, a second player can join the main adventure as the "Bee Team" and can help pick up various collectibles.

Yooka-Laylee is coming to PC, Xbox One, and PS4 on April 11. Although the Wii U version has been canceled, a version for Nintendo Switch is still a possibility.
