The Xenosaga series will continue without one of its main writers. The series' scenario writer, Soraya Saga, said on her Web log that she is no longer working on the series. "At present, I am no longer involved with the Xenosaga series. No inquiries, please," she wrote.

Although Saga doesn't specify why she won't be working on the third game in the Xenosaga series, she suggests on her blog that she wasn't considered a core member of the project to begin with, despite her contributions to the series.

"A couple of years ago, the new team had decided to refresh the series. Simply, I was neither one of the people invited nor on the boarding list of the new voyage," Saga wrote. "This site will not provide further information about this."

Soraya Saga, also known as Kaori Tanaka, cowrote with her husband, Tetsuya Takahashi, the scripts for Xenogears, Xenosaga, Xenosaga Episode II, and Xenosaga: Pied Piper, a side story released for mobile gamers. Before the Xenosaga series, Saga worked as a graphic designer at Square Enix and contributed to Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy VI, and Romancing SaGa 3.
