Xenosaga pushed back to 2002

Namco has announced that its upcoming Sony PlayStation 2 RPG Xenosaga Episode 1: Der Wille zur Macht won't be released in Japan until February 2002. The game was originally slated for release this fall in that territory. The company did not announce any specific reason behind the delay, but its developer has said in the past that it wants to ensure the game's quality and fully realize its massive scope before it is released. No information has been announced to date regarding a North American release, but it is not expected to arrive in that territory until late 2002.
