2K and Gearbox Software today released an 18-minute gameplay trailer/developer walkthrough for the company's upcoming brand new IP, Battleborn, which is coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Though we published our hands-on preview for the game earlier this week, this is the first time Gearbox has released actual gameplay for the upcoming title.
In the video above, you'll see Battleborn's gameplay, spliced together with commentary from creative director Randy Varnell and lead writer Aaron Linde. Importantly, the footage you see is from a pre-alpha version of the game's cooperative campaign.
Battleborn is described as a "hero-shooter" that fuses team-based FPS elements with a "deep roster of playable heroes." Gearbox says every character plays differently, and each has unique weapons, powers, and personalities that players can experience in the game's campaign or multiplayer modes.
Battleborn--described as the "most ambitious" game Gearbox has ever made--is currently in development for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The title will be published by 2K Games and is slated to launch in 2015.
