After MS reversed their DRM policy - the systems both are running neck and neck regarding potential installed base units. However MS is losing some ground on this over something so stupid that they need to get a better grip on... PR battle
This story is a classic example. Sony the past few weeks have been releasing stupid a-- "guess what our system can do" side notes, to be published all over the web. MS then has to play catch up and say "...oh we can do that too" over the dumbest features. Regardless of how dumb, you got to give Sony credit for understanding the PR atmosphere now and taking advantage of it. It just looks bad that MS has to keep 'following behind them' with these announcements
MS needs to get ahead of the game and put Sony on the defensive. Start focusing on features that Sony has not clarified, or do not have that can create buzz. For example - Xbone is allowing family members on accounts to share games. That's a big deal. Put Sony in a corner and force them to respond - as they are doing to you!
MS has to get better at this - and do it quick. Don't think because you reversed the DRM policy your out of the woods. You still got some work to do to keep that potential installed base. The DRM attempt left a sting in the mouth of many, and previous faithful's still are not fully committed yet. Don't be so out of touch to think otherwise.
@Art3Zero Actually you dont need to. Not only is more RAM available on the XBone than the PS4 (500MB) after the OSs, but MS also provides cloud processing which can theoretically allow for an infinite amount of memory. Just a few of the perks of being a part of the most impressive network of servers known to man.
@gamestoreguy are you really dumb enough to think this is something theyve just added "after" the ps4? Theyve both had the feature long before either of the consoles existence's were even made public. Sony just touted about it first. Or are you saying they should cut the feature because Sony has it? lol, right. Good one.
@noladem504@Art3Zero This* I'm actually mad Microsoft did such a poor job in advertising the cloud and family sharing utilities Xbox one was going to have. I'm hoping these changes don't affect the power of the console... It's obvious the console was built at a low spec wise and was to be compensated with extra power from the cloud.
@adders99 You think the little red led or the functions that it needs to react to a remote command are not constantly using electricity? You never know when a thunderstorm can happen, or when there could be a hiccup in the voltage or something. My Wii was having problem once when I had some WiiConnect24 that did stuff with the system turned off, I disabled that and started to disconnect the system, it never again had any problems.
@sanec Agreed. I said this in a previous comment. It's not some new special feature. You can buy games anywhere and put them in to your download queue for 360 as is. If you happen to have your system on, it will start to download. This isn't a copy off ps4, it's a copy off something it's already doing with the 360.
@bluefox755@deadly_yank33@somatzu PS4 is crushing Microsoft pre-orders because a small minority on the internet bitched and complained about Microsoft always online policy as they were uninformed. Xbox one is more revolutionary than the PS4, it can do more. PS4 is about gaming straight up and there's nothing wrong with that. Xbox one also has a stronger launch line up and one of the most anticipated games in the last few years... Titanfall.
I will own both consoles, but will be getting the One first as the launch line up is better. The only company that saved the PS3 this generation was Naughty Dog.
@smoke1125@RicanV@LucentWolf@deadly_yank33 You buy a system for the games. Who gives a shit about what the PS4 can do better than the Xbox One? That being said, (personally speaking), no system has that killer app yet.
You really need to stop blindly following a piece of gaming hardware that's meant to bring fun to peoples lives. Stop trying to push your system. Who are you to decide what is better.
The reality is both systems will sell, both systems will do good. The more these two companies fight over us the better. However, we do not need to fight amongst ourselves. Please grow up and stop worshipping a piece of plastic and metal. :/
@RicanV@LucentWolf@smoke1125@deadly_yank33 ok the ps3 had better hardware but the 360 still kicked its ass like i said what features does the ps4 have that the360 doesnt already do and that the xbox1 isnt going to do
@smoke1125 @LucentWolf @deadly_yank33 Oooooohhhh really. That's amazing. Cause I thought they said " Playstation 4 " when they announced it. I wasn't aware I was imagining things, and they actually said " Playstation 3.5 "
I'm sorry. I must go now. I need to inform gaming venues everywhere of their grave mistake.
@deadly_yank33@bluefox755@somatzu I owned a 360 longer than my ps3, I have no interest in a fanboy argument with you. I liked PS3 a little more, and lately, I have no interest in giving MS my money. Sorry if that's not cool with you, lol.
@deadly_yank33@bluefox755@somatzu I have no interest in the games you mentioned, and the dedicated server thing is a buzzword, have you tried X1's dedicated servers? No? Yet you comment on it anyway. You also comment on PS4's, like you've tried those as well, bring evidence, not your fanboyism.
haha you assume I am buying a xbox one solely for Kinect...did you just try and backpedal and leave out all the games I mentioned earlier...
not to mention again..dedicated servers that the in-debt sony cannot provide...have fun with your indie games and the lagstation network with p2p hosting...and now you get to pay $50 a month for you laggy online service....
Being a rational and logical human being...I would much rather pay $100 more out of a minimum $400 entertainment expense because I will get the best controller and online network along with it.
If you are not buying a xbox one solely because you don't want to pay the extra $100 compared to the ps3.5 then you really need to rethink your budget and finances...
@deadly_yank33@bluefox755@somatzu Once again, if you read my original post, I'm not going to pay 100 extra dollars for something that I don't want, that has no games I'm interested in. Enjoy your dancing games.
@bluefox755@deadly_yank33@somatzu really? didn't know you were some sheep that follows what everyone else does....or preorders for that matter...maybe you should add some uniqueness to your character or try something that you thought of for a change...
@bluefox755@deadly_yank33@somatzu if you look 1 or 2 posts down you will see why I am laughing at you right now....have fun with those indie games on ps3.5 and the lagstation network with p2p hosting...haha
