Xbox One Getting 60fps Remastered Version of Castle Crashers Very Soon
People who already bought the game on Xbox 360 can get the new version for free through September 20.
The Behemoth announced today that Castle Crashers Remastered, a new version of the 2008 Xbox 360 game, will launch on September 9 for Xbox One. That's just days away.
Remastered includes the expected technical improvements, including a 60fps frame rate (compared to 30fps for the original), as well as textures that are five times larger than those in the first game. In addition, players can look forward to various "performance updates" and gameplay tweaks, while you should also be able to find online games "easier and quicker," developer The Behemoth claims.

What's more, Remastered comes with a new minigame called Back Off Barbarian. See it in the video above.
Remastered will cost $15, but people who already bought the game on Xbox 360 will get the new version for free through September 20. On September 21, the price for returning players will go up to $5.
In addition, The Behemoth has announced that the original Castle Crashers (without the updates) will be playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility. However, there is no word yet on when the game will arrive, either through the Preview Program or for everyone.
Castle Crashers (read GameSpot's 8/10 review here) was originally released first on Xbox 360 before coming to PC and PlayStation 3 later. The Remastered version has been announced only for Xbox One.
The next game from The Behemoth is called Pit People, which is unlike anything the developer has made before.
