Talk about Sony being bankrupt

iammcgruber

I think May and possibly June, will be the last months Sony outsells Microsoft for a while in the U.S. Reminder until September the PS4 is in 40 MORE countries than the xbox one is, but after september that number will drop by I believe 26. Sony showed at E3 there is nothing too look forward to on ps4 that isn't on xbox one for 2014. Xbox showed they have 9 exclusives, plus the multiplats, still to come in 2014.

@iammcgruber Your argument hasn't been valid for 6 months. There are more games out on the PS4. Sony announced over 70 games at E3 and MS under 60 and they announced MORE indies than Sony on top of it.

Sonys 40 more countries included all the countries the PS3 outsold the 360. MS is done this generation. They will be #2 if they are lucky enough that Nintendo doesn't make a full comeback otherwise they will be #3 AGAIN like last gen only with far less sold than the 360 this time.

@memenotu @iammcgruber REALLY??!!

Other than the Multiplat games that were released....KNACK & KILLZONE [& resogun]

We had Dead Rising 3, Forza 5, RYSE, KIller Instinct & then the multiplat games.

Gruber you have a valid point; price drop , 3-4 exclusives out THIS year...opening in the other 26 countries, UPDATES on the norm, graphics argument dwindling with the Kinect/GPU reserve.

About the 360...the PS3 just caught up with the 360 about a yr ago.

When you cant make a dent in your HOME market, theres a problem & its called GAMES.

@memenotu @danielgibbs7902 @iammcgruber

I noticed no comments about what REALLY matters = GAMES.

Cool you can spout off tech reports...but to debunk that; Bungie has stated they have Destiny running at the same speed as it is on the PS4 = June dev kit upgrade from MS.

Now back to you about the list of games & having more - KNACK & KILLZONE [& resogun]

@memenotu @iammcgruber  Actually the XB1 has sold far more consoles than the 360 did within the same period of time. Both the PS4 and XB1 are outselling their respective predecessor's by a fairly wide margin. The PS4 is clearly in the lead so far this gen. Though last gen that was true of the 360 but the PS3 finally surpassed it in world wide sales. Personally I feel there is plenty of room in console gaming for all three current gen consoles to be very successful. There will always be one that is more successful than the rest of course. That doesn't mean the others are failures though. Far from it in the case of the XB1.

@RevLux @memenotu @iammcgruber Actually the 360 was released with a supply shortage that lasted 16 months...I know, I owned one afterwards and got lucky enough to have bought it after the RRoD issues were fixed.

As for your comment attempting to make it sound like that since the 360 had  lead in sales over the PS3, it means the One can pass the PS4...you seem to forget that the 360 hit the market a YEAR before the PS3.

But I do thank you for your MS spin.

memenotu

@danielgibbs7902 @memenotu @iammcgruber yeah, REALLY!!!! And you can read about it on this very site.

And where are you getting this graphics argument is dwindling crap from? If anything, its being spoken about more now that the actual information is starting to bleed into gaming sites despite trying to hide it for more advertising dollars from MS.

It is becoming a well known fact that the One's GPU is outdated old hardware that wont be able to keep up over the next 5-8 years and is almost 50% less powerful as the PS4s GPU...hell, you are talking about a 600 bflops difference (1.2tflops on the One and 1.8tflops on the PS4)...And the memory disparity is no longer refutable.

Even MS themselves have stated it without actually bringing up the disparities at all. "With cloud computing the One will be able to match anything the PS4 can do".

That statement says it all, it takes another computer's processing for the One to match the PS4, the PS4 alone...they wont bring up the fact that the PS4 is also capable of using cloud computing as well, once again bringing in a massive power difference between the two systems.

As I already have a PS4 (and PC) for multiplats I've been looking for appealing exclusives on Xbox One.  Unfortunately, I only see a couple of interest to me on that list for this year: Project Spark and Below.  I believe both are also coming to PC.

Of the games scheduled for next year, Ori and the Blind Forest, Inside, and Scalebound also caught my interest at the conference, but again I've heard rumours the first two are coming to PC.  I'm still not sure what Scalebound is all about, but that trailer looked interesting.  That leaves Quantum Break, and possibly the new Crackdown game (which was the first in the series to appeal to me), so now I'm somewhat disappointed.

I was hoping for a few more true exclusives (not timed or also available on PC) that could grab my interest, because I'm not a fan of Halo or Forza.  The multiplayer focused Fable game doesn't appeal at all.  I'm also not fussed on Dead Rising 3 (which is also coming to PC anyway), and Sunset Overdrive isn't really my cup of tea.

They also didn't mention anything about those new trademarks they filed, like Eden Falls or Screamride.  Oh well, looks like I'm delaying purchase of an Xbox One until next year. :(

You're missing Ryse Son of Rome, Killer Instinct and Forza 5 from the out now section you $ony pony. Wow this website has really gone to s***.... Nice list.. Tons of games are missing and we all know why you did it!

@jpptaz @newhaus1994 This is only a list of 2014 games. I understand it is worded confusingly. I am updating it now.

I am so glad I have an Xbox. Let's be honest, outside of the Order there isn't anything that Sony has that I would play.

origkillmachine
origkillmachine

@sorrowsrevenge I'm happy to have both. Got to play the Destiny Alpha which was awesome, and I'm looking forward to Planetside. I think the order looks like shyte, personally. But yes, Xbox is the place to play if you ask me.

oflow

@sorrowsrevenge the game that I would buy a PS4 for is EQ Next and they didnt even say anything about it at E3.

I'm not a steampunk fan so the Order doesnt interest me.  Deep Down looks okay. I thought Lords of the Fallen looked better than the clips I saw of Bloodborne.

Either way, nothing i really want to play is cming to PS4 til 2015 that i cant play on my XBOXONE.

I'll probably buy a WiiU before a PS4.

strange how they dont list games like killer instinct and ryse: son of rome.

Direct Comparison: 45 multiplatform games between PS4 and XBox1 (Elder Scrolls Online counted twice here BTW).  37 exclusive XBox1 games and 82 exclusive PS4 games (console exclusive).  I'll grant that most of the exclusive PS4 games are Indie, but it's still impressive.  Both consoles have great games coming this year, and this is just what was shown at E3!

sorrowsrevenge

@TUnified It is impressive if you like indies. How ever if you don't then that list is a lot closer

@jake198624 I know it unusual for the ponies not to sit in Xbox articles and tell us how useless we are for liking X1 more than PS

sladakrobot

@jake198624 "I'm simply pointing out PS4's popularity"

Means the X1 was overall the most popular console accoring to the number comments?!

Huh, apparently Assassin's Creed IV isn't going to be available by the end of 2014. Weird, I'm pretty sure I'm looking at my copy of it in this very moment... If you please are going to post a list of games for a system, then at least do it properly. Even if the game was released previous year it is still available. And if you don't want to list previous year's titles then don't write "Following this year's E3, we've compiled a list of all the Xbox One games that will be available by the end of 2014." because IT IS NOT all the titles for the system. The same goes for the article of PS4... This site is just getting worse and worse.

spartanx169x
spartanx169x

@smurfa1  Agreed the article is misleading. It does gamers a disservice not to list all games available. It mislead me on the PS4 article because I asked where was KZ and BF. and of course smartazzes were quick to correct me that it was for 2014 only.

spartanx169x
spartanx169x

@rorytmeadows @origkillmachine @smurfa1  and under that it says "the list of Xbox One games that are now available". Key  words being now available.  As far as I know the games released in 2013 are still now available. :)

RevLux
RevLux

@spartanx169x  It clearly states at the top of the page:  "We've compiled a list of the Xbox One games that have been or will be released in 2014." To me, and I imagine most people with a bare minimum of reading comprehension skills, it seems pretty straight forward. The list is only for games that have either already been released in 2014 or will be released later in 2014. Which means that any games released prior to the start of 2014 would not be included in the list. I can understand your confusion if you just skipped straight to the list but is that really the fault of the author?

RyogaRod
RyogaRod

Wow, I was honestly expecting more exclusives on the X1 side of things. No exclusives in the summer from what I'm seeing and only a few throughout fall and winter. After the price dropped I was considering maybe getting an X1, but looks like I'll hold off. No "Must haves" for me as of yet.

sladakrobot
sladakrobot

@RyogaRod Both consoles lack of exclusives because they launched at least 1 year too early.

With that in mind i think they pulled enough exclusives out...reasons for many to buy them(consoles)

oflow

@jake198624 Please just stop. Master Chief Collection is a must have game in itself.  Forza 5 is a must have game.  I love how Sony fanboys all talk crap but literally there are no must have games on the PS4 until 2015.

Until then you'll be playing the same multiplats as us and indies I played on Steam 6+ months ago.

And to counter your next straw grasp, yes the PS4 has superior hardware, but what does it matter wwhen all you have to play on it are 16-bit indie games that would run on my iphone?

We get it you dont like XBOXONE.  Go high five your Sony friends on the Sony articles and leave the people that do like the X1 alone.

looking at current titles, X1 has better games.

Titanfall, Forza 5, DR3, Garden Warfare are all solid games better than the PS4 exclusives currently out like Knack & Killzone. Thats not conjecture its fact.
