Xbox 360 Update Adds 2 GB Cloud Storage and Lots More

Here's a full rundown of what's included with today's major update.

While much of Microsoft's attention these days is expectedly paid to Xbox One, that doesn't mean the company is finished supporting the Xbox 360. The latest example of that is a new system update released today that, among other things, introduces up to 2 GB of cloud storage. Microsoft points out that you can use this to bring your Xbox 360 saves to Xbox One for supports backwards-compatible titles.

The new Xbox 360 update also introduces functionality that lets you connect your Xbox 360 to a network that requires a Terms of Use acceptance, which is fairly common in public spaces like hotels and hospitals.

Also included with the new update is functionality that lets you redeem Xbox Live Marketplace codes directly through messaging and a new Activity Feed that allows you to "like" or comment on your friends' activity, or watch game clips and view screenshots. What's more, the update lets you see what your friends on Xbox One and Windows 10 are playing, adds new Microsoft Movies and Groove Music support, and brings a new feature that displays your Microsoft account balance when looking at content in the marketplace.
