Xbox 360 Guardian of Light gets online co-op, free DLC tomorrow
Square Enix releasing title update tomorrow that will add cooperative play to Lara Croft title; free puzzle pack also arriving; PC, PS3 update coming "soon."
When Square Enix released Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, over the summer, those who bought the first downloadable entry in the Lara Croft series were not able to experience online cooperative play. However, that's going to change tomorrow--for the Xbox 360, at least.
Square Enix said today that it will release a free title update tomorrow for the Xbox 360 version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light that will add the capability for co-op play online via Xbox Live. The ability was promised when the title was announced but was later delayed.
Further, the publisher said it will release the first of five planned content expansions for the game tomorrow at no cost. The "All the Trappings" DLC will include a new area with puzzles, exploration, and combat. It will be available for free for 30 days.
Those who purchased the title for the PlayStation 3 or PC are going to have to wait longer for the DLC and online co-op patch. According to Square Enix, the title update for those players will be "coming soon."
