Next year's WrestleMania will feature a match no one asked for: The Big Show vs. retired basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. Big Show confirmed the match in an interview with Shanghai Daily.

Shaq and Big Show have feuded on-and-off since 2009, when the two got into a physical altercation with each other. Shaq appeared at this year's WrestleMania in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, where he worked together with Big Show to chokeslam Kane before getting eliminated by a group of wrestlers. Now, it seems as if their storyline will culminate in April next year.

"We'll have one heck of a match and we'll see what's up," Big Show said. "We'll give the fans a treat."

Big Show challenged Shaq to the upcoming match at the ESPY Awards at which the former NBA star accepted. This won't be the first time Big Show faces off against a celebrity at WrestleMania. He took on boxing great Floyd Mayweather Jr. at WrestleMania XXIV in a No Disqualification Match.

Honestly, it's hard to imagine the two wrestlers putting on much of a match. With Shaq's lack of ring training, and Big Show being a much larger, slower-moving wrestler, it could be a bit of a drag to sit through. However, the WWE is known for its shenanigans, and I'd expect much of those. We'll have to wait until WrestleMania 33 on April 2, 2017, to see what the two men get up to in the squared circle.
