Wraps taken off Gusto Games

Team of soccer game-makers from Silicon Dreams forms studio.

Comments

Having collaborated on soccer games for eight years, 11 former employees of Silicon Dreams have formed a new studio in Oxfordshire under the banner of Gusto Games. Experienced with several different platforms, including PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PC and N64, the developer is made mostly of lead gameplay programmers and members of the core technology group. They have not yet announced any titles in development, but rather are welcoming "discussions with any publisher looking for a developer to provide an affordable, mid- to long term soccer solution for their existing product portfolio."

Fred Gill, Managing Director of Gusto Games, "The whole team is in agreement that the future for the current and next generation platforms lies in providing games with both strong online and community building features. We are now in an advantageous position to exploit the work that we have already put in, whilst working under a previous regime and we will be looking to discuss these opportunities with a select number of potential publishing partners in the near future."

Currently, Silicon Dreams is working on Acclaim's Freestyle Street Soccer for multiple platforms. Gusto Games' official web site, www.gustogames.com, is coming soon.
