WOW machinima contest finalists announced

While Martin Scorsese's The Departed took home the top slot in Hollywood this past weekend, another set of films were being selected for completely different bragging rights. Xfire has announced the finalists for World of Warcraft Summer Movie Contest. There were 20 finalists named in four categories, all vying for a piece of the total $23,000 in prizes up for grabs. The four categories are: Short Film, Comedy, Music Video/Dance, and Drama/Action. Xfire members can now head to the competition's official Web site, view the finalists' videos, and vote for their favorites through October 23. The winners will be announced on October 26.
