World of Tanks developers expanding to Southeast Asia

Wargaming.net to open new offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand.

World of Tanks is now even more global, with developer and publisher Wargaming.net planning to expand its operations to Southeast Asia.

Wargaming.net has future tank-related plans for Asia.

The company will be opening offices in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. The regional headquarters will be located in Singapore, with its main responsibilities being regional promotions and activities coordination. Southeast Asian gamers will be using the Singapore server group when playing this local version of World of Tanks.

World of Tanks was reviewed last year with positive acclaim. Critics have praised it for its accessibility, layers of depth within its genre, and its variety of different vehicles for players to unlock and use on the battlefield.

@Gelugon_baat Perhaps I have just been luckier. Well, not in my SU-152, like that guy you speak of, so I guess a somewhat neutral experience. Either way, I'd say that while luck plays a part, perhaps much greater for some than others, the game takes correct input to be occasionally enjoyable, in my opinion, and at least worth testing out for those interested.

@Gelugon_baat - Other than gun accuracy, I've never seen any substantial evidence of that, at least as my experiences go (within the last year). That's the problem.

@Gelugon_baat I've played it too, and while there is a degree of chance (sometimes unfavorably so, usually more for SPGs), the majority of how the game plays out has to do with planning and maneuvering. You can't win solely on chance, not by a long shot. If you get lucky, it only makes a difference if you're playing well. Also, according to the link you provided, that scenario with the leop and Maus is currently impossible. I can't say whether it was then, but the result, at this point in time, is invariably the leopard's demise.

@Gelugon_baat Ahh, wasn't aware of much of that. Still, many of those are understandable, as the game would need to become much more complex to eliminate said dice rolls. Many also take your actions into account, even if there is an element of chance.

@ Gelugon_baat What, are you referring to the accuracy? That's generally how games deal with that. It's not like we have too many options there.
