Greek development studio Metal Fin has today announced that it is looking for an international publisher who is interested in signing World Basketball Manager. Released in Greece toward the end of last year, the game allows players to assume control of any of more than 650 basketball teams from around the world at the start of a management career that could not only span a number of decades but could also see players heading up a number of club and international teams.

World Basketball Manager's database includes more than 10,000 players and 1,000 managers from all over the world. Transfer information and roster changes will be kept current in the game through downloads from the official World Basketball Manager Web site. Furthermore, the game will also ship with a data editor for players who want to adjust information manually.

As the manager of a basketball team, players will be responsible not only for winning games through tactical decisions and through the signing of great players for their teams, but they must also deal with player psychology, upcoming young players, budget allocations, player injuries and training, contract negotiations, press relations, and much more. On paper, at least, World Basketball Manager sounds like the basketball equivalent of Sports Interactive's Championship Manager soccer management titles.

We'll bring you more information on the possibility of World Basketball Manager's release outside of Greece as soon as it becomes available. In the meantime, you might like to check out the official Web site, which, among other things, has a playable demo for download.
