Wolfenstein: The New Order voice actor Brian Bloom, who played B.J. Blazkowicz in the 2014 game, has teased that a sequel could be on the way. In a new interview with TwoLeftSticks, Bloom said the tease that Bethesda provided at E3 "sparked a wildfire" and that the rumored New Colossus may be in the works.

"If you look at Bethesda's E3 2016 lineup there was a title hinted at in a cool way," Bloom said. "It sparked a bit of wildfire. That subtle, very simple DOS language, going through the titles. Perhaps we're working on that as we speak."

A mock cmd.exe screen flashed on-screen during Bethesda's E3 briefing that showed a rundown of some of the Bethesda releases since the 90s. This included games in the Wolfenstein series, such as Wolfenstein 3D, The New Order, and The Old Blood. It also shows an unknown property called "The New Colossus," with a release date listed as only **-**-**. You can see the image above.

It's not clear what The New Colossus is at the moment--it could be an expansion, a full game, or something else entirely. "New Colossus" may refer to a sonnet by Emma Lazarus, which, in addition to appearing on the base of the Statue of Liberty, was also recited by Wolfenstein protagonist BJ Blazkowicz at the end of The New Order.

A report that emerged in the days before E3 suggested that Bethesda would announce a sequel to The New Order during its briefing, though this didn't happen beyond the teaser.

The New Order was developed by Swedish studio MachineGames, which is owned by Bethesda. Just a month after the game came out, creative director Jens Matthies said the studio has a "very, very clear idea" for what it could do with a sequel. "We would love to do a sequel," he added.

In September 2015, Alicja Bachleda-Curus, who played Anya Oliwa in The New Order, said she's working on a "second one" that could launch in 2017.
