Wizards Gets Rights to Wheel of Time
The tabletop role-playing company Wizards of the Coast secures the rights to Robert Jordan's fantasy novel series.
Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, has announced that it has secured the rights to produce role-playing games based on Robert Jordan's fantasy novel series. The upcoming tabletop role-playing game will use the d20 System developed by Wizards of the Coast for the recently released 3rd Edition Dungeons & Dragons rules. The rulebook for the game is scheduled for release next summer, and it will include background information on the geography and history of Jordan's world.
Legend Entertainment developed a PC action game based on the Wheel of Time novels that was released last year by GT Interactive. For more information about the game, take a look at our review.
