Witcher 3 Gameplay Will Be Shown at Comic-Con -- What Do You Want to See?

30-minute gameplay demo coming to popular entertainment convention later this month.

Looking for more Witcher 3: Wild Hunt gameplay? If you are, you don't have much longer to wait, as CD Projekt Red will show off a 30-minute gameplay demo at Comic-Con in San Diego later this month, the studio announced today. It's notable because never before has CD Projekt Red given a public demo of the game.

The event will take place Thursday, July 24, in a room that has space for only 1,000 people. The event will also include a special Q&A session with developers. Geralt voice actor Doug Cockle will also be in attendance, answering any questions you might have.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was originally expected to launch this fall, but in March, CD Projekt Red delayed the game to 2015. It has since been confirmed that the game will launch on February 24, 2015.

At release, the game will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It would be impossible to release The Witcher 3 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and deliver the full vision for the game, CD Projekt Red said previously.

of course it's on PC.  not those consoles with weak AMD hardware.

I may be mistaken but if I´m correct then according to books and previous games Geralt was white. Like flour white . Right know I am seeing natural skin color.

I want to see Geralt go to a barber and shave the damn beard off.

Sounds great that they're releasing more for some, but i'm already confident that this is my definite 2015 game.

I'm honestly rather content...in terms of gameplay I don't really want to see much of anything,  I just want to be be able to play the the game myself.  XD

What I want to see is the behind closed doors demo that was shown at E3..that would satiate my appetite until February.

Also, make it available to the public (aka put it on the internet) to see not just select few that go to Comic-con.

Don't wanna see anything cause instead of spoiling myself early, I actually wanna play the game and experience it myself.

30 mins detailing the sexual orientation of all characters....  That seems to be the way RPGs are advertised now.

why 30? a simple 5-10mins should suffice

I want to see no gameplay, they need to stop ruining the mystery of games, what's the point in playing something you've seen someone else play pretty much the whole way through. The only thing I am interested in is release dates, and a little bit about the lore and features of the game.

What I liked about Witcher 1 and 2 are too long, too (what's the word for "pertaining to the general feel or background of something"?), or too rated-AO to show in a public video. And I don't want the plot to be spoiled.

I know what I want from the Witcher 3, and I am already confident I will get it. What does CDPR want to show to someone less certain? Is it the open world? Is it the gorgeous graphics? Is it the brutality of the war with the Nilfgaardian Empire? Is it the horror of the Wild Hunt? We've already seen Gerald killing a Griffon, and I wasn't that impressed. It neither felt like a hunter meticulously challenging an overwhelming foe like Dark Souls nor a master swordsman dancing through a flurry metal, blood, flourish, and death. It wasn't even as good as the recent DA: Inquisition video; at least I could hope, true or not, to be in that monster of a dragon fight with my bros.

That trailer showing Gerald saving that peasant woman from those soldiers is still the best I've seen. It includes elements of almost everything I look forward to in The Witcher 3: free traveling, the shadow of a terrible war, a tortuous path, a master of death, and a hint of future rendezvous. The best part is it's all one scene. Do such encounters exist in gameplay?

There's literally nothing I wouldn't want to see, so whatever CDPR shows us, I'll be happy with. With as much content as this game will have, I cannot see them showcasing something that would be a spoiler. My biggest concern is something they're already aware of: ensuring that a good amount of unique content per distance is maintained. The key entertainment aspect in these large-scale games is exploration. I like knowing that early on, I may venture into areas that are just too difficult, that I will have to make note of and come back to later.

Julian Sands is the spitting image of Geralt. Minus his voice of course.

I don't want to see anything more than what has been shown. I want it to be mind blowing when I  play it for the first time. Wait, no I would like to see Triss and Yennifer lip lock.

I don't want to *see* anything, but I would like to hear something. The only thing I've found lacking in The Witcher 2 is the music. The first one had lots of great music, but only a few stand out to me in The Witcher 2.

I want to see the signs in more detail as well as alchemy most likely. As for things like story I can wait for those because I hate spoilers.

30 minutes of Geralt bangin dem Triss, Yennefer and other elfs or peasants or witches or mythical creatures.

Darkhol0w

@Asharel I don't think there's even a chance to see Yennefer other than in the full released game.

gawdzila

@DefconRave That's... odd.  The game is called The Witcher, and thus the core gameplay revolves around the "2 swords + Signs" fighting, and the monster hunting that Geralt does.  Not only would Triss demand a completely different combat/gameplay style, but she has neither the knowledge nor even the desire to hunt monsters.  What reason would they have to make her playable?

I love Triss as a character and I hope I get to spend plenty of time with her in the game, but this just wouldn't make any sense at all.  I think you're going to be disappointed.

@slappy54 If the previous games are any indication, I don't think they're going to GTFO :)

@berserker66666 Yeah, I'm the same way.  It's frustrating because I want to see these videos and immerse myself in Witcher stuff, but I also hate spoilers, even the tiniest stuff.  I like going into a game "blind" and having everything be new and surprising :)

@gawdzila @DefconRave No. i'm tired of playin as a generic white dude. I wanna play as a strong female lead. If u don't agree ur a misogynist

jk. It was a tongue in cheek comment, I have the 1st 2 games on steam.

@bathsaltsuser @chuckles471 Where have I said I was mad about a g@y character in a game?  Please show me.

I have no problem with a g@y characters in a game.  I have a problem with how Bioware is more concerned with making a benetton ads, rather than focusing on the games they make.

Also I don't care if a fictional character loves me.

@chuckles471 your comment was like radiating with resentment for how dragon age publicly announced that they had a g*y character like sit down and think about your life and how much a g*y character affects you. and its because of people like you that they are proud of their character's sexuality, don't ever forget that.

@Pelezinho777 The Witcher 2 had Dethmold and Philippa.  There are g@y characters in the Witcher series.
