Hyrule Warriors, the Wii U Legend of Zelda spinoff from Nintendo and Koei Tecmo that blends Zelda with Dynasty Warriors, has shipped more than one million units worldwide since its launch last fall.
Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu reported the figure this week, which Joystiq has since confirmed.
Koei Tecmo is marking the milestone by releasing a batch of new Hyrule Warriors wallpapers, which you can download from the game's website or view in the gallery below.
Nintendo and Koei Tecmo aren't finished supporting Hyrule Warriors just yet, as the game will introduce its latest expansion--the Majora's Mask Pack--on February 5. The $8 DLC includes two new characters--Tingle and Young Link--as well as a new Adventure Mode map and three extra costumes.
GameSpot gave Hyrule Warriors an 8/10 score. Reviewer Miguel Concepcion praised the game's balancing of Dynasty Warriors map management with Zelda-style objectives and said it delivered true Zelda fan service from beginning to end. You can read our full review here.
