Wii U's Mario Maker Renamed Super Mario Maker at E3 2015
Name change.
During tonight's pre-E3 Nintendo World Championships event, Nintendo gave its Wii U level-building game Mario Maker a new name. The game is now known as Super Mario Maker.
Mario Maker Super Mario Maker launches in September exclusively for Wii U, though a 3DS version has not been ruled out.
Though the game doesn't launch for a few more months, you can play it at Best Buy stores across the country this coming week.
We're expecting lots more Nintendo news on Tuesday as part of Nintendo's E3 digital event, which begins at 9 AM on June 16.
