Wii getting 13 from Data Design

Value publisher Data Design Interactive jumps on Wii bandwagon with more than a dozen titles planned for release this year in Europe.

The success of the Wii has many publishers scrambling to release games for the platform. The latest to pledge allegiance to Nintendo's new console is Data Design Interactive, a UK-based publisher of value-priced games.

Ninjabread Man. That's all that needs to be said.

DDI isn't taking the job lightly either. The company has announced that it is planning to release 13 games for the console this year, with a half-dozen expected in the second quarter of 2007 alone. The games may not be recognizable to many because they are ports of PC titles released in Europe.

The company has not yet announced whether these titles will be available in North America or how much they will retail for.

The following games are scheduled for release in Q2 2007:

Billy The Wizard: Rocket Broomstick Racing
Monster Trux Extreme: Offroad Edition
Myth Makers Super Kart GP
Anubis II
Ninjabread Man
Elviz: Rock N Roll Adventures

The following games are scheduled for release later in the year:

Hamster Heroes
Trixie in Toyland
Action Girlz Racing
Mini Desktop Racing
Myth Makers - Orbs Of Doom
London Taxi Rush Hour
Earache Extreme Metal Racing

DDI fails at making games, and life in general.

They shouldn't be banned, they should go out of business,it's just not working

DDI just recycle stuff from their other games. I mean Anubis II is just Ninjabread Man with a different theme and more levels. Believe it not, those idiots are making a sequel to Ninjabread Man. Obviously they don't bother to take a look at the bad reviews their games are getting. Pure shovelware.

"The games may not be recognizable to many because they are ports of PC titles released in Europe." But by now, I think everyone knows about Ninjabread Man. :)

Interesting that they would choose to go with the Wii for downloaded games rather than the XBOX 360 or the PlayStation 3. I thought the Virtual Console was mostly good for emulating older consoles.

Wow! This should cost 100 Wii points for $1.00. Talk about obscure titles. Ninja Bread man everyone?

"Value-priced games" = "crappy games." I love my Wii, but we need more solid 3rd party support from high-end developers like Capcom and such.

Actually looking at that list again something pops out 'London Taxi Rush Hour'. If it involves running over every city workers and commuters just to get home intime to watch the all important Champions League Football match instead of taking the trains then it might just be fun.

I still see people dying to protect the Wii from being slated despite having read the article above. For those of you mentioning that the Wii is becomming the PS2 with these rubbish kiddie games, na no chance. PS2 has had its fair share of sh*t, but its classics are all time classics and at 100+ million units sold Wii's got no chance. And yeh, before I forget those Ninty lovers saying ''Lets play through the same games over and over again just to experience a new story every time'', need I remind you that Mario and Zelda have amongst the highest sequels ever in gaming.

@comthitnuong And the Wii has been delivering both ;)

Lets hope they are a realistic price though. We have most of these games on PS2 for sale where I work for $15 (Australian), so they better be cheap for Wii too. The reason I mention this is Fruit Fall (another similar buget title) on the PS2 is $15, yet it is $80 on Wii !?!
