Wii Fit U delayed

Latest entry in fitness series will be released in December; Wii Party U launching in October.

Wii Fit U has been delayed to December. The game was originally pegged to launch during the first half of 2013.

The news came by way of a Nintendo Direct presentation this morning, where president Satoru Iwata also confirmed the game will ship with a pedometer called Fit Meter.

Elsewhere during the presentation, Iwata announced that Wii Party U for the Wii U, which was originally announced in January, is now slated to launch in October.

The title for this game is kind of kinky... Bad Nintendo, bad!

Most here, in my guess, would not care one bit, however.....

Bummer, for those who find it handy. It's a merit to have something that can be used by both child and adult alike (meaining the purchase of the wii u, not this particular game, although, that may not be such a bad idea...get your kids movin and all that if they are young enough to be able to find it semi interesting to do with their parent).

Again?

They need to drop this garbage. You'll never appeal to the core gamers with this crap.

If you want to be fit, you can simply ride a bike, do a power walk around your neighborhood, use the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. There are many ways for you to get fit and most of them are free.

Can you buy the Pedomiter seperately ?  They use the same balance board and Wii Fit is a game that would work well to have installed and not need to fetch the disc every time.

The only reason why I bought the Wii U last Christmas was for the Fit game. I am disappointed.

The casuals have moved on. I think Nintendo are wasting their time with these titles.

@Mr_Big_Boss That's not the intent. Besides, it sells like a $5 box of cereal with an ounce of pure gold as the prize inside.

@toyo75 Yeah, I just recently got a bike someone was giving away after a garage sale.  I'm gonna fix it up, and work off this beer gut.

@silvergol @toyo75 Biking & skateboarding are great ways to burn off fat and calories. It's a lot more fun too, you'll easily lose track of time as you explore or go about around town. You won't notice  how much you're sweating since the wind is blowing on you while you're biking but once you stopped you'll realize how much you've sweat.

@DrKill09 I have a beer gut and riding a bike didn't do squat for it. But for reals, I live in a place with an absurd bike theft rate, and low and behold, mine got jacked(do people even use that term nowadays?). Just watch out for methheads lingering around your shit.
