Fortnite Spire Challenge Guide: Where To Find The Thief

Fortnite's new season has introduced Spire Quests, and notably different than most other challenges, the quest gives different tasks given to different players. One of these tasks you to find the thief before completing several other steps, but first you need to find the thief. That's easier said than done, but we'll show you how.

In this two-part challenge, you'll need to find the thief and play the last log, but the game doesn't tell you more than that. Follow our guide and you'll be a step closer to completing all of Fortnite Season 6's Spire Quests, earning a bunch of XP along the way to unlocking Raz's alternate style.

Stage 1: Find The Thief

The unnamed thief in the challenge menu is actually Raz himself, one of the Fortnite Season 6 Battle Pass characters. He's also an NPC you can find in any given match. To chat with him, drop into Colossal Crops, just east of The Spire at the center of the map. Head to the location you see in the image below and Raz will be there waiting to help out.

Go through his dialogue options regarding The Spire until you've read them all. That will complete the first part of this Spire Quest, to find the thief, but it opens up a second section we've detailed below.

Stage 2: Play The Last Log

Raz will instruct you to listen to an audio log after you're done chatting, and thankfully, it's not far at all. Head downstairs from where Raz hangs out and look for the new audio log near a wall of the hut. Play it, then return to Raz and talk to him once more. He'll have a bit more to say, and when he's finished, you'll have completed the next part of this Spire Quest.

Stage 3: Complete Uncommon or Rarer Quests

This next section should be pretty straightforward. All you'll need to do is complete five total uncommon or rarer quests. Uncommon quests are marked with the color green in the quest log, and those better include Rare (blue), Epic (purple), and Legendary (orange). Hitting three of your Daily Quests will give you a great headstart as they're of the Uncommon rarity. After that, refer to your own quest log and see what you're close to achieving. If you need to boost things like catching fish or getting assists, Team Rumble is a great mode for those sorts of objectives, among others. Once you've completed all those, speak to Raz again.

Stage 4: Retrieve A Cult Artifact From The Spire / Collect A Cult Talisman From A Guardian / Harvest Animal Parts

The next stage of this lengthy quest will be split into three parts and you can do them in any order.

Steal An Artifact At The Spire

For this, head to The Spire in the middle of the map and look for the entrance at the base of The Spire shown in this screenshot below. If the quest is active, you'll see this glowing Artifact sitting there ready for pilfering.

Collect A Cult Talisman From A Guardian

Guardians are the hostile NPCs guarding any of the six smaller spires that create a broad perimeter around the island's central spire. If you look at your quest log, the game will show you where find each of them. Though they all house Guardians almost all the time, try and pick one of the towers less-trafficked and far away from the Battle Bus' route so you're more likely to be the first player arriving there.

Take out the Guardian and--as long as the quest is active on your quest log--they will drop a special item. Pocket the glowing purple medallion to complete this quest.

Harvest A Wolf Fang, Boar Tusk, And Three Chicken Feathers

You'll also need to harvest unique items dropped by defeated animals. These aren't like the meat and bones they usually drop, so they will only drop while this quest is active, just like the others. Still, the process for getting these items is the same as other crafting parts from animals; you simply kill them. When they're downed, they'll drop these items until you've retrieved enough of them.

Return To Raz

Once you've done all three of those tasks, return to Raz where he will once again ask you to complete some quests while he works on his shadowy scheme. Repeat the steps above for completing five Uncommon (green) or rarer quests, then return to him once more.

Don The Disguise And Strike Three Resonant Crystals At The Spire

The disguise is located on the southeast edge of The Spire. You can find the crystals near The Spire itself. While previously bugged, you should be able to complete it now without issue.
