Westworld Creator Talks About That Episode 6 Major Revelation [SPOILERS]

The plot thickens.

Last night's episode of Westworld was a particularly intriguing one, as Jeffrey Wright's character, Bernard, discovers that Delos higher-up Theresa Cullen might be sabotaging the park.

There was a memorable scene where Bernard gets a call from Elsie informing him of this at the same moment he's meeting with Cullen. Now, HBO has released a video in which Wright and Westworld co-creator Lisa Joy discuss this momentous discovery and what it might mean for the future. Take a look:

"Could Bernard have known?" Joy offers in the video. She goes on to say that he might never have suspected Cullen because of his romantic relationship with her--which Cullen matter-of-factly ended in Episode 6.

"He didn't really look at Theresa because he was involved in this relationship with her," Joy said. "As with all of us, having feelings for someone can ruin or compromise subjectivity. He didn't see what he didn't want to see. It's a woulda, coulda, shoulda for Bernard."

Westworld Episode 6, "The Adversary," saw Elsie apparently get abducted in the creepy theater where she made her discovery about Cullen. Her fate is uncertain, but according to Joy, Elsie might be done for.

The next episode of Westworld, "Trompe L'Oeil," airs this coming Sunday, November 13. For more on it, check out a new video preview that teases what's to come.
