[UPDATE] The event has ended. Among other things, Media Molecule said it will announce more details about Dreams during Paris Games Week later this month. The studio said it will have an archive version of today's presentation later today; when it's available, we'll embed it here.

The original story is below.

Sony-owned developer Media Molecule, best known for the LittleBigPlanet franchise, will hold a livestream event for its next game very soon. This is the first time the studio will talk about the game, a PlayStation 4 exclusive called Dreams, since it was announced during Sony's E3 press conference in June. The event kicks off at 8:30 AM PDT / 11:30 AM EDT and you can watch the whole thing on Twitch right here.

If you can't watch live, the entire video will be uploaded to YouTube. We'll add that video here when it's up.

Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida previously described Dreams "a next-gen creation platform" that has "much more" flexibility than LittleBigPlanet.

"In LittleBigPlanet, you pretty much made new levels of an action game," he explained at the time. "With Dreams, you don't have to make a game. You can make a game, but if you're a painter, you can just create beautiful, painterly looking drawings. Or you can just animate the character. Or you can [remix] other people's creations."

Dreams is currently scheduled for release in 2016 exclusively on PS4. Today's video event is the first in a weekly series; subsequent episodes will air on a weekly basis. Even more details about Dreams will be shared as part of Sony's showing at Paris Games Week later this month.
