Watch This Live Action Killing Floor 2 Video Set Up the Sequel

Tripwire Interactive has released a short live action movie that sets the stage for its upcoming first person shooter Killing Floor 2.

"When we started working on the script for what would become Killing Floor: Uncovered we decided to set the scene a few years before the start of the first Killing Floor game," Tripwire Interactive Vice President Alan Wilson said in a post to the PlayStation Blog. "Besides being a fun little horror film unto itself, Killing Floor: Uncovered sports a number of tie-ins to Killing Floor 2, both obvious and subtle."

If you aren't familiar with Killing Floor's story, the original game starts in the UK, with players having to survive an outbreak of genetically engineered monsters that escaped from the Horizon facility. Killing Floor 2 start after the UK is overrun with monsters that then make their way to the rest of Europe, but the short movie gives a little glimpse into how the whole mess got started.

Killing Floor 2 is slated for release on PC and PlayStation 4 in 2015. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
