Watch The Rock Sing in New Clip From His Upcoming Disney Movie
"'I'm spittin' that fire bruh!'"
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is lending his vocal cords to the upcoming Disney movie Moana, and thanks to a clip he posted on his Instagram account, we now know he's going to do some singing as well.
"We just doin' a little sanging over here or as we say in the street, 'I'm spittin' that fire bruh!'" The Rock wrote. "A blast collaborating with the musical genius himself and my Puerto Rican twin Lin-Manuel Miranda. Too much fun!"
Miranda is best known for his work on Broadway in musicals such as Hamilton and In the Heights. He worked in the music department on Star Wars: The Force Awakens and is providing music composition on Moana. He's also set to appear in 2018's Mary Poppins Returns.
The Rock plays Maui, a legendary hero and demigod who sets off on a quest with Moana to save her family. Moana opens in theaters on November 23 and, alongside The Rock, stars Auli'i Cravalho, Nicole Scherzinger (The Pussycat Dolls), Alan Tudyk (Dodgeball), Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Attack of the Clones), and Rachel House (Hunt for the Wilderpeople).
